Humble Beginnings

Gintong Bukal Bukal Healing and Wellness Spa is an offshoot concept of Sps. Isabelo and Josephine Dionisio to their lifelong dream of keeping their family’s business and livelihood afloat as they both neared their retirement ages by the end of the year 2000. With their two college sons, Jude Emmanuel and Joseph Matthew behind them, the couple began their entrepreneurial journey from a small trading business of ceramic wares named House of Lin in the late 1980s until they saw the potentials of the growing franchise industry in the Philippines and embarked in a food outlet franchise in early 2000 under the trade name Fudhaus Enterprises. After around 5 years of sustainable operations, the husband and wife tandem was inspired by the increasing opportunities in the wellness industry as both are regular clients of massage and spa services. An eventful meeting with an owner of a spa franchise led to their entry as franchisee of a massage outlet catering to the low-to-medium scale market. This decision turned providential as well for the low-key couple that after another 5 years of gainful running of this spa business, developments ensued both as planned and as fortuitous combination of circumstances such that in December 8, 2017, Gintong Bukal Healing and Wellness Spa is born to cater to the discriminating and able customers of Binan and San Pedro Laguna in particular but also capturing the markets of nearby municipalities, even extending its reach to the cities of Muntinlupa and Cavite.

After more than 2 years of drive and painstaking efforts, the tireless couple through continued inspiration and prodding of relatives, friends and associates, was moved to another chapter in their franchising saga. Wasting no time, they hired the service of a renowned franchise consultant, GMB Franchise Corp. who formulated their systems and operations manuals. After a series of discussions, time-and-motion studies, process analysis, etc., Dionisio Family Enterprises, Inc. (DFEI) was registered in July 2019, all-set to operate as its own franchisor for Gintong Bukal Healing and Wellness Spa. This year 2020 will witness the transformation of the owners’ first spa business into Gintong Bukal franchise newly acquired by a different partnership owner. And more prospects are in the pipeline.
